Photographs and Memories

Weekend is the most favorite time of the week waited by almost everyone and not only by people but also by pets like us. Some pets hang-out and party with their friends, they go disco dancing, go to the beach or sometimes visit the town forest for treasure hunt digging. But some pet are just happy to wake-up early in the morning, visit his garden, cook some meals and open his coffee shop… and that is me, Bajeenot the barrista pet boy.

After milking my stubborn cow from the front garden, I decided to go upstairs in my play room to check some old things and toys to sell. Before doing so, I noticed some old cartons and boxes with few stuff inside. Out of curiosity, I checked them one by one.

I saw some old records, purse, books and photos inside. There are few photos with pets on it and they look so very familiar to me. Below is the first picture that caught my attention with notes written at the back that says:

"una fotografia del signorino bajernot e la sua segretaria”

I don’t understand what does it mean but I resemble to the one who’s standing and laughing at the shot. Another one interesting print I noticed below:

"monsieur bonjournot alias monsieur french toast avec son ami, ou le secretaire”

I found myself lost in translation. I don't understand what it means but there is always this someone who looks just like me! This is completely insane and driving me crazy already! Then there’s another one that I think much older photo than the rest and it says like:

“sir raoulo badzeenot and his secretary general on duty”

I comprehend that one. But then how come I always look identical with the dude in the photos, and with the same lady all the time and she looks somehow like my best friend…Wanda? Nooo!! This can’t be real!! Does it simply say that this could be our great great ancestors and Wanda and I could be the latest generation of their lives? And we have had been together from the very early period of guarding royal palaces until the present time doing our head banging?! These photos just revealed something to me! Does it mean she could also be my… soul mate? (Blushed) Ummm…. I don’t know. But these photos made me completely happy for today and I think I have to show these to Wanda too! But wait; there is another shot that I think recognizable to me:

“senior bajenoot visitar su mejor amigo en su clinica en mexico”

There is this dude again, my copycat and beside him looks like my friend Dr. Hummm! This is strange, but somehow wonderful! This is one day I will never forget, and before selling things and opening my kofi shop, first I must call Wanda and my friends to brag about these very old photographs I just discovered so we can celebrate and party!

The Fish(es) from Wanda

One fine day I visited Wanda in her house and she was happy to see me. She invited me to her backyard and showed me the fishes she caught from the lake the other day. I asked her what kind of bait she used to get those, and she said I must try any food in my chest and I can be lucky. I told her that most fishes I caught looks like sandwich, cake, muffins and cookies. Wanda said that I should be patient enough to try all baits so I can bring home some nice and not odd-looking fish. I like all the fishes she got, they look cute and colorful. I wish I could catch one of those.


The next day I followed Wanda on her fishing time. I hid behind the fence so she won’t see me. I just wanted to know how she was able to get all those fishes and maybe she has a secret. But then I saw she put on some corn, rare steak and leeks only as bait and she got good catch! I stepped on a dried branch, made a sound and Wanda noticed me. She asked what was I doing there and I said I want to learn her secrets on how to fish. Then she said I must not worry, she can teach me anytime and she actually gave me two of her good and fat catch. That was very kind of her.

The next day I called up Wanda to see me at my home as I had a surprise for her. She said she’ll drop by for an hour or two because she still has to finish reading a book. While waiting for several minutes in my back garden, I decided to consume the share of what I prepared for that day. I was just too hungry and I can no longer wait for Wanda. Then she arrived and looked so excited to know what the special surprise was.

Wanda: Hello Baj! What’s up with you today? I just cut reading my new book and I want to know what you prepared!

Baj: Oh finally you made it! Glad you’re here already. Go ahead, have some of those I roasted for us. I just ate ahead, I was too hungry.

Wanda: Ummm…what is this Baj? Roasted chicken and… fish?

Baj: Yes. Remember you gave me 2 of your fine catch yesterday from the lake?

Wanda: Baj! I gave those to you because I thought you will keep them in your aquarium! Now look at them, so pity!

Baj: Oh Wanda. You know I never really liked taking care of pet fishes; I only love them served on the plates, or sticks? Those in my house, I keep them for my kitchen.

Wanda: Huuuu Baaaj!! Grrrrr….

Baj: They taste good, Wanda. I marinated them since last night, stuffed some onions and tomatoes and look, I just finished my share.

Wanda: Huuuuuu Baj!!

I never saw Wanda so upset in my life. She took the roasted chicken and left the fish with me. I know I can no longer put this poor, scaled, stuffed and completely burnt fish in the aquarium anymore along with other fishes in my bedroom, so I decided to feed it to my petling Sukatash instead. I tried calling Wanda on her phone and she didn’t answer. I guess I have to do something to make it up with her. But I really love fish, eating fish I mean.

Dr. Hummm found me Another Date

One busy afternoon while I was checking my trees for fruits, my friend Dr. Hummm called me up and said he will visit soon to talk about some important things. Few hours later he arrived with some strange character I am not familiar with and he looks weird. Dr. Hummm said he’s involved in some science space project and the one he’s with is the company driver…his name is Chauffeur Hideeni. He told me that he met a cute girl in his project that is possible to be my girlfriend. Dr. Hummm asked me to visit his office the next day so he can introduce me to this girl, and I must wear something smart to make an impression. I got confused; I don’t know what to wear to impress an astronomist girl pet and I don’t have any smart clothes that are space-like. Well, I just have to show up and try my luck.

So the next day, I went confidently to Dr. Hummm’s office and I came inside.

Dr Hummm: Hi there Baj, come here and I will introduce you to someone. Ummm, that’s kinda different attire you are wearing today, huh?

Baj: You know Hummm, I’m just a simple barrista pet boy and I don’t have enough smart clothes especially about science or space. I just serve coffee in my shop and that’s all.

Dr. Hummm: It’s ok Baj, don’t worry. You look cool actually but I really feel like I want to send you home, or somewhere else hahaha.

Jamie: Hi Dr. Hummm, this is my report for today about my research.

Dr. Hummm: Oh there you are Jamie! This is Baj, a good friend of mine, a barrista, he owns a kofi shop, and….I really have no idea of what he’s wearing…

Baj: Hi Jamie! How are you?

Jamie: Hi Baj, where have you been few hours ago? Went scuba diving?

Baj: Ah no. This is just my idea of, floating just like space. Look, I even have wings!

Jamie: Oh I see. But that’s kinda odd, and what’s in your hand?

Baj: It’s some kind of defense gadget from the underworld.

Jamie: We don’t have that thing in the space, and we don’t have wings too.

Baj: Maybe this could be the next best technology we don’t know yet.

Jamie: Ummm….maybe, but it still looks different and funny to me. Ok I got to go back to work. Nice meeting you, bye!


And that was the day. I think Jamie was not interested on me at all. She didn’t like my outfit but it’s the only thing I have in my closet. I don’t know if Dr. Hummm felt unhappy again about this, I just noticed he was quiet that time and chuckling a bit. Few weeks later Dr. Hummm called me up again and he said I have to meet him in our favorite pet bar. I told him I don’t want to meet any girl for the meantime; maybe someone gets upset again with me. He said we’ll just hang-out and will not talk about girls. Well, that’s a good idea. After I closed my kofi shop, I took a shower and wore the simplest shirt I have, and then went off to the bar to meet him.


That night went good and we avoided topic that concerns girls. I told him maybe I just have to wait for the time my girl will come and just be patient about that, no need to hunt like I want to get married immediately. But then of course I noticed some pretty girls in nice dresses with cute smiles in the bar. I wore my dark glasses so that they won’t notice that I’m looking at them, naughty me! I really want to approach someone but Dr. Hummm decided we should go home early because he still had a meeting the next day. He also said my shirt was nice and should have worn it the day when I met up with Jamie. Well, some days doesn’t fit with the mood, the plan, and with some difficult girl that is hard to please especially if they work on something out there, something unearthly.

With Wanda: Looking Through the Eyes of Pets

Visiting friends in pet society is one thing I really enjoy doing since I was born. It made me earn coins, hug my friends, send gifts, bathe the dirty and neglected ones and of course…taking photos with them and keep them in my album. My friend Wanda pays a visit in my kofi shop regularly to have a hot tea with home grown honey fresh from my front garden. She also takes time to stay in my library because she likes reading books. With this, I always give discount in her food and drinks and we always take photos together… many, many photos indeed!


Then one day I got a free tent from the mayor and I put all my plushies inside it. I don’t have enough space in my house already and they are starting to overflow in my bedroom. Wanda also designed her tent with her bear plushies collection; she gave me that idea actually. So I invited her to visit my back garden to see how I set it up. I was so excited to show her my collection and she noticed something wrong in my eyes, it squinted. I told her that I’m just making my eyes to appear cute to her. She said I’m lying and it’s definitely not normal and I must see a doctor immediately.


Few weeks later I visited Wanda and I told her that my eyes no longer squint, but I didn’t see a doctor to check it up. I just stopped visiting friends for a while and paused on taking photos together. She was happy to hear that my eyes are ok, and to celebrate a bit she prepared a fondue so we can share and enjoy together. But even before we had our first bite, Wanda and I took a photo together in her living room.

What a wonderrrful day it was! Sometimes, we should always listen to our friends if they make good suggestions about ourselves. They care for us that’s why and they are the ones who see things that we don’t, especially if our eyes have the problem. I hope you will agree with me on this, Wanda does. Look at us in the photo, we look similar already!
