Christmas with Wanda

Christmas spent with friends are always fantastic. Sharing meals, exchanging gifts and singing Christmas carols together are always worth remembering. My friend Wanda invited me and my sister for a dinner in her house and I made myself look neat because Wanda always keep her place clean and clutter-free. Her carpets are washed, the floors are mopped and I was careful not to soil my shoes when I got there so there’ll be no trails of dirty paw prints to leave. I came there earlier than Jaf (she still waited for her toy shop to close) and the lovely meal was already set on the table. There was ham, roast chicken, cakes, seafood platter and pineapple rice ornamented with pink plushie on top (I was doubtful of that dish actually so I didn’t try at all).

After Jaf arrived, we feasted on the meal Wanda prepared. After that she showed us her onsen at the backyard. This place in her house is very Japanese (of course) and most of her petlings stays there because of the warm setting it has. It was winter so Wanda set it up very comfortable enough for her and her petlings, and also for visitors and friends like me and Jaf. Wanda’s petlings are very close to her and they followed her anywhere she goes. But there is this one petling I believe who is kinda snob and doesn’t seem to associate well with the others. I haven’t seen that kind in the petling store actually; I don’t know where Wanda bought it.

After the short tour and chat in Wanda’s onsen, we all decided to go out as the evening was still early. We dressed ourselves like Santa Clause and went house to house and sang Christmas carols. Few hours later after singing Joy to the World repeatedly, we took a rest in Jaf’s toy store and Wanda pulled out something to eat, a very big candy ball! She said the weather is freezing and she easily gets hungry.

She shared some to me and my sister Jaf because she can’t finish it and definitely have no plans to spend the whole holiday nursing a toothache. That was very sweet of her and I thought maybe because there was no presence of desserts in the dinner we had. Well, it was a charming evening she spent with me and my sister and one of the sweetest Christmas I ever had in pet society!
